The first Sunday Night of each month is Gift Exchange Night at 6:00 PM. (Our Birthday/Anniversary dinner is at 5:00 PM the first Sunday Night of the month.)
In May our very own Pastor Eddie shared a bluesy type song he wrote and arranged. We hope you enjoy it as much as we did!
Let us know in the comments below!
This Sunday will be Palm Sunday. A day when we rejoice and remember the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem! You can find the story of the triumphal entry here: https://www.biblegateway.com/blog/2010/03/the-triumphal-entry/
On Wednesday, March 23, we will have our annual Passover Seder. In the past, Passover Seder has fallen on the same week as Resurrection Sunday. But because we Gentiles follow a solar calendar and our Jewish brothers and sisters follow a lunar calendar, there often comes a time when the two calendars don't sync.
Even though the "real" time to celebrate Passover is in April this year, we are still holding a Messianic Passover ritual meal to reenact and remember the Passover supper that Jesus partook of before He went to the cross:
"'With desire I have desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer: For I say unto you, I will not any more eat thereof, until it be fulfilled in the kingdom of God.' And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and said, 'Take this, and divide it among yourselves: For I say unto you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine, until the kingdom of God shall come.' And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, 'This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.' Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, 'This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you'"
Then on Resurrection Sunday we'll have a special time of enjoying breakfast together at 9:00 AM before the worship service. If you're a visitor, just come as you are! Members will be bringing in breakfast foods to share. This is a happy tradition for our CFC family. We hope you'll join us!
A lot is happening in the world today but do not be afraid. You are not alone and you do not walk this labyrinth of life without the support of your Good Friend, Jesus.
If you feel anxious, praise the Lord until the anxiety passes. It doesn't matter how long it takes, keep praising.
Praise confuses the enemy. He can't know what you're thinking, he can only know what you think if you think thoughts aloud. When you praise God amidst a raging sea of trouble, the devil wants nothing to do with it. He hates God as much as he hates you. He can't stand to be around the praises of God's people.
Do you talk to God as much as you talk to Facebook?
Instead of venting to your friends, try venting to the Lord. He has big shoulders. He can handle it!
Don't forget to wish Dad a Happy Father's Day! Feel free to copy these images to your phone, computer or tablet and text a greeting to him today!
Join us this Sunday as we welcome bikers and have a morning of fun, food and fellowship! We'll bless the bikes following morning worship, eat lunch, and then go on a group ride.
